How to Pose in Sceneries: Basic

All you need for this is to buy a solid coloured panel from Stardesign.  I normally use only white or black. You only need one and you need to put it somewhere in your suite in order to use it in your sceneries.
First, think of the pose you want. We're just going to do an extended arm right now.  Then, cover the background with your panels.

Next, you want to arrange another one of your dolls so that their body part is sticking out where you want it. This part will look funny at first.

Now you're going to start covering the unwanted body parts with more panels. Leave the parts of the original me doll till the end as it makes things less confusing. I used two panels on both sides and one behind my doll in the middle.

After that you'll want to dress your me doll. Make sure that it doesn't look funny with the arms since they are no longer at the side of her body.

Finally, you'll cover up the me doll's original arms. This is the tricky part. Try to make the lines smooth.  You'll have to make your panels very small so they fit nicely.

Here are some sceneries I've done with different poses. :]

Free Bathing Suit!

I know for sure it's available in Canada.
Just enter the Beach Party competition and enter in a scenery with at least two of your friends included in it.
I don't think the bathing suit fits well with the body type my doll has.

How to Make a DIY Stardoll Bed.

So, since I'm non-SS (though this includes a lot of SS elements, sorry!), and I couldn't buy the bed I wanted. I decided to make my own with some things that I have. :]

First, start with the Starpoint Picture Frame.

Then, add a piece of wood in the back and a carpet (your preferred colour) right underneath.  Make it so that the corners of the top of the mattress match up with the picture frame.

Then add two more pieces of carpet, gradually getting bigger.  Add two pieces of wood at the bottom and you have your bed!

Finally, dress it up with some pillows to make it your own! I added a bunch of pillows and some draping above. :]

New Blog Name?

Hey dolls. :] I've been thinking that we really need a more interesting blog name. Something that'll be easier to find on Google. If you have any ideas, feel free to write down a comment. Whether you are a writer or not. Once we've gotten a few ideas, we'll make a poll. Be sure to answer the one at the side of the page! - Chilly09Rain

How To Wear: Blush

Hey, its Elle (123Elle321) so for my first post I'm going to show you how to wear blush, in my opinion, properly.
Before I start, I want to say that no offense is meant and that I'm not trying to say that I put my blush on perfectly or anything.

Here's how I normally put my blush on.
So as you can see, it's not even close to perfect. But anyway, my point being, that putting blush on your cheekbones give it a more sophisticated and classy look (even in real life).

I use "Flame Red Blush" that probably looks really dark when you're putting it on, but when you've saved it in and look at your medoll in your suite - it looks fine.

Here's my attempt at recreating the photo above (poor attempt I know)

I'd like to apologize, that this looks nothing like the photo above :s but anyway. Moving on.
After I use the blush to "highlight" the cheekbones, I use this function:
Apologies, but I don't know the name of this function.
Anyway, I have underlined the color I chose and what percentage I put it at to create this:
You can clearly see the difference.
I personally thinks it highlights it way more and gives a more dynamic effect.
Again, that's just me.

Now moving on.
Here's how to not to do it.
If you don't find anything wrong with this then you're probably one of the few who actually do this.
Yes I have actually seen a Me-doll do her blush like this.
Not only does it look ridiculous but I shall give a more explanatory reason to why you shouldn't this.
First of all, it gives the cheeks/cheekbones no perspective or depth at all.
And it looks like you have two red pom poms on your cheeks or something. So, unfortunately, unless you're Pikachu - this does not look good.

So that's your lesson today.
Opinions?

I want to begin by saying I'm honored to write here! I'm Destiny, and I am the latest writer for Stardoll Looks! You can find me on my account YukaGirl most of the time.

Now,on to my post.

Today,I saw this store in Starplaza.

Now,some of you might look at a few of these clothes right when you see it and think "That's crazy! Why would anyone buy that?" But in this post,I'm going to show you guys some amazing outfits you can create using the items in the Nicholas Kirkwood tribute store.

In our first outfit,I will be using the NK Tribute Lion Face Top to create a classy outfit.
I next put a few PPQ items, and finally some shoes from Velvet Orchid.
I finish with 4 items, the PPQ High Waisted Black Skirt, the PPQ Zegina Jacket, the Velvet Orchid Studded Stilletos, and the Tribute Lion Face Top,totaling to 64 stardollars and 53 starcoins.

The next outfit uses a style for the whole of stardoll,as you could imagine many different styles of stardolls using this outfit.
Our Tribute item this time around? The No Shoulders Top.
I combine some items from varied stores,Pretty in Love all the way to Killah.
I used but 5 items in this piece, the Pretty in Love Saloon Purse, the Wild Candy Licorice Skirt, the Decades Grey Thigh High Tights, the Killah Ruby Red Heels, and our Tribute No Shoulders Top,which totals to 24 stardollars and 162 starcoins.
For our final outfit of the day,we use not one,but 3 Tribute items. The Studs Yellow Jacket,Micro Dress, and Coral Pom Heels.
This outfit is for the daring stardolls, not to be worn by the subtle style.
We used our 3 mentioned tribute items, along with the Basics Yellow Tights, and the Killah Dabih Bag.This racks up at 59 stardollars and 38 starcoins.

Final Rating: I believe that on the Style-O-Meter,this store ranks at a 8.5 out of 10.

I hope you have enjoyed my first post, and I'll be posting again soon!

Pretty in Pink - Review

Hey, gals. I'm back and this time I've decided to review one of my favourite stores on Stardoll: Pretty in Love (formerly Pretty in Pink). I love this store because it's totally my style, though it may not be some of yours.  Here's my top 8 picks.
Fairy Scarf - It's hard finding good scarves that fit nicely and are cheap on Stardoll nowadays. I feel that this one does the job perfectly. I love the lightness to it.
Soft Lavender Dress - To be honest, I didn't even know this existed until I started looking things up for this review. I love this dress. The lace and the shade of purple is gorgeous in my opinion.  However, I think it could be longer.
Teal V Neck Blouse - Very cute, newboyish look to it. I like it a lot.
Peach Lace Shorts - I find these to be relatively popular and I definitely see why. The graphic and fit is lovely and the laciness is wonderful. :]
Lace Ballet Flats - I like these because they go with pretty much everything and add a cute and simple touch.
Pure White Bag - Beautiful. I love the fringes.
Farmhouse Shorts - My favourite colour. They fit nice and look very nice with a lot of simple tops.
Sandal with Roses - One of the first shoes I owned. Very flattering with solid dresses. They add a feminine touch.

What do you think?
